REVIEW: Maybelline Rocket Lashes

Hi Beauties!
So working for Estee Lauder I get very spoiled at my job with 'higher end' products
(like Estee Lauder, MAC, Clinique, and Bobbi Brown)
I never considered myself a drugstore beauty junkie because I always get better deals at my job
and I would rather pay less for the real thing than a drugstore dupe, ya know?

Well I recently decided to step out of my comfort zone and venture out
to the land of drugstore cosmetics.
First stop: Mascara

My Top 3 favorite mascaras that I use are:
- Clinique High Impact
-MAC In Extreme Dimension
-Estee Lauder Turbo Lash

I was extremely overwhelmed walking up and down the makeup aisles at Target.
SO MANY MASCARAS. SO MANY BRANDS. SO MANY KINDS.
I finally decided to only choose from those for which I had a coupon for.
Total mom move.

That narrowed my decisions to Maybelline or Almay.
Almay didn't really call my attention and Maybelline had so many options.
Not to mention I am a sucker for packaging (if I haven't told you that before).

I have tried the Volume Express Falsies [purple tube] mascara before
but couldn't remember how I liked it.
Since it obviously didn't leave a lasting impression I opted for the Rocket mascara
which comes in a blue tube.

I have been using this all week and I cannot get enough of it. One coat does a pretty good job but three coats is where the magic happens. The brush grips each lash and separates them. Initially it helps to lengthen them and as I add more coats the volume starts to build.

I am very impressed with this mascara being that it is my first drugstore mascara purchase in a pretty long time.
And I only paid $3.99 for it! It sells for $5.99 and I had a $2 coupon ^.^

Have you tried this mascara before?

I would love some recommendations for other brands to try!

PlaySuitLove

Hi Loves!
TGIM!
The GORGEOUS weather here in VA this past weekend was a such a Spring tease!
Here I am wearing one of my current obsessions- The Playsuit.
Well its basically a romper but I prefer the term playsuit.
This one I ordered a few weeks ago and I am in love.
I am pretty petite but this fit perfectly
The color looks much brighter in pictures but it is a deep plum color.
I originally paired it with black pumps but not all of my images transferred
so when I re-shot them I chose these wedges instead!

Which do you prefer?

New Things 1.0

This little blog segment was inspired by Em from Dear You, Love Em
New Things will consist of my favorite purchases of the week (or month).
I will save the hauls for videos and will only feature my newest little things here.

Nerdy Bunny

I absolutely fell in love with this sweater when I found it at Macys.
I usually don't wear anything with graphics on them. Pretty plain jane.
This year I want to incorporate more graphic print into my style.
I thought this was the cutest, most perfect piece to start with.

The glasses have a beaded detail to them which I love. Paired them with these fuzzy boots my boyfriend got me a few Christmas' ago. Comfy and casual for the day.

I am also anxious for the pastel Spring trend. Original or not pastels are the perfect way to make your outfit a little more feminine. Added a pastel pink faux leather bag I got from Aldo a while back!

Review: Bentonite Powder

Hey Beauties!
I have a new blogging schedule that I worked on over the weekend and
am excited to implement it! More on that another time.
Today I want to review a product that has really helped me on my 'hair journey'.

Neon Pumps

I just want to take a quick second to say THANK YOU to all of you guys for stopping by and checking out my blog. I was a bit overwhelmed by the response I got but I am beyond grateful!

With that said I was working hard a new piece- a velour jumpsuit- but it still is not quite finished. It's not coming out exactly how I want it to in photos so I am hoping to finish it this weekend!

Since I can't go a few days without posting something I thought I would share yesterday's outfit!
I was inspired by Kim Kardashian on this one. I added a more fitting jacket instead of a blazer.
I also left my hair down since I have been really into tousled waves lately.

So excited to be creating some new content for you guys! Be sure to LIKE my Facebook page to stay updated. And be on the look out for a giveaway soon!!
