5 Beaty W's of Exfoliating

Hello Beauties!
Today I wanted to talk about the importance of exfoliating. This is probably one of my most favorite things to do for my skin. I absolutely love the feeling of scrubbing off those pesky skin cells that you face wash misses; and revealing healthy, glowing skin. Here are your 5 Beauty W's:

REVIEW: Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask

Hello Beauties!
About 2-3 weeks ago I had a crazy breakout all over my right cheek/jawline. I was stressing myself out even more trying to find a solution to my problem. As I was re-organizing my beauty closet I came across my Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask. [See what happens when you have wayyy too much stuff!]

"When environmental toxins, dirt and debris get under your skin, its waste-filtering system gets jammed, pores get clogged, skin looks cloudy. Nature's complexion clean-up crew gets to the bottom of skins overcast condition and clears the way for it to act its best. Activated Charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins, Lecithin dissolves impurities. Without all that "stuff" down there, skin 'breathes a sigh of relief'."

After washing your face, place a warm towel over it to really open up your pores. Layer the mask on all over, or just the problem areas. Allow to dry, then wipe away with warm towel to reveal fresh, tightened skin without dullness.

Depending on your skin type you can use this anywhere from 1-2 times a week to 4-5 times a week. Based on my breakout, I used it every night for until I saw improvement, then I used it every 2 nights.
It has no smell to it and is super creamy. The fact that it is black may alarm some, but remember its charcoal.

You will feel an immense difference in your skin just after one use! The product seeps deep into your pores and when you wash it away you can literally feel your pores tighten up as the mask pulls the debris out.

I recommend this product for anyone with acne or anyone who likes deep cleaning facial treatments throughout the week.

Find this online or at your closest Origins store.

Jennifer Lopez Inspired Makeup

I have always found Jennifer Lopez to be such a stunning woman. I mean, who hasn't? I admire how head strong she is, her poise, her confidence, style, and beauty. Besides pulling literally any dress off on the red carpet, her makeup is always flawless.

She is most notorious for the sun kissed glow, bronze makeup; but for this look I was inspired by a frosty, white application. Unfortunately my son somehow deleted the photo off of my phone after I filmed this, and it has been impossible to relocate on the internet.

In her look she had long, gorgeous lashes. I only use layered coats of mascara, but using false lashes will enhance this look that much more.

6 Nail Colors for Fall 2013

The sun is setting sooner and the nights are getting cooler, which only means one thing; Fall is quickly approaching! Along with that comes apple cider, pumpkin patches, homemade pies, hot chocolate and tons of other heart warming aspects of the season.

As the leaves change colors, so will your wardrobe. Transitioning between seasons is a great time to try new color palettes and really explore your inner fashionista.

Check out these 6 gorgeous nail colors to consider adding to your fall beauty collection

1. One of my favorite color trends this summer was orange. MAC came out with an awesome orange collection this year as well. Because I loved this color so much I look forward to using it in my fall beauty collection.
This is China Glaze's Orange Marmalade which is a gorgeous deep, rustic orange with gold undertones. Not some crazy pumpkin orange color because that could go really wrong, really fast. This reminds me of the nice transition of the leaves changing colors.

Review: Carol's Daughter Hair Milk

The review I bring to you today is a product that I have been testing for about 5 months now.Carols Daughter is a line of natural hair care products; as well has beauty and skin care. The products of this line are made with all natural ingredients that help perfect curls, repair damaged hair, and soothe skin and body.
The product that I purchased from ULTA is called Hair Milk. I actually purchased a travel size set which included: Co-wash, Leave-in Conditioner [original], Leave-in Conditioner [lite], and a Pudding.
The reason I purchased this set was because of my son. He is mixed [Puerto Rican and Black] therefore has mixed hair; though I cannot seem to figure out its definitive texture yet. I started with the coconut oil daily, but it just wasn't enough. After reading some reviews I decided to give this a try. The fact that this is all natural and has few chemicals that would cause damage to my sons curls is what sold me the most.
I absolutely love everything about this line. After using the co-wash, his curls instantly separated in the shower. Putting the leave-in condition, they began to soften. And finishing/styling it with the hair pudding really helped lock in the moisture and keep the curls defined. I was amazed at how well it worked!
ALL of the products smell so clean and natural. They are all light weight and do not cake up in his hair or cause his curls to get tangled.
I use the co-was only twice a week on him, because his hair gets extremely dry in the back [where he sleeps], and then I use the conditioner almost every day. Or I switch back and forth between condition and coconut oil. Either way it has made an immense difference in his hair. His curls are so defined, bouncy, and have a natural, healthy shine to them.
I highly recommend this product to anyone with dry, curly hair. The Hair Milk is phenomenal at restoring hydration to the curls.
If you are still interested in this brand but don't have curly hair, don't worry! Carols Daughter has a number of other lines that will meet your hair care needs! From relaxed hair to natural, straight to curly, damaged, color treated, or course; there IS a product for you!
There website is super informative and helpful at breaking down your needs and finding you the exact line of products to help.
I definitely will be re-purchasing this again for my son and would recommend it to anyone looking for a natural line to try.

10 Beanie Inspirations for Bad Hair Days

With Fall weather right around the corner, I am so ready to switch up my wardrobe! I already know 2 of my obsessions this Fall will be sneaker wedges and beanies. Even though the weather here in VA is FAR from Fall ready, I can't help but get inspired for this season already.

One thing I notice [at least for myself] is that with the cold weather comes comfy clothes, and comfy clothes can sometimes translate as…let's say you just didn't try to get dressed? I know the warmth of my bed makes me debate between getting ready or getting in the few extra minutes of rest. Usually the latter wins, which means my hair gets thrown in a bun [9 out of 10 times].

Here are 10 beanie inspirations to avoid being stuck in a bun all winter!
