How to Have the Best Workout Ever

This was posted on my fitness blog but I will start to incorporate some health posts here as well so be sure to check out the Lifestyle tab for more in the future!

Being healthy and fit is a lifelong commitment. No you do not have to be in the gym every day of your life, but you do have to stay physically active. Some days are better than most. We all have those kick ass, dripping in sweat, body so sore workouts. Then there are those gym sessions that seem indifferent. Like you made no progress and you wasted your time even driving there.  Whatever excuse we come up with for not having a killer workout is not going to get you any closer to the body of your dreams.

I am going to share 5 tips that have helped me regain momentum and have the best workouts ever.

How to get Fabulously Long and Full Lashes

If I was going to be stranded on an island and could only have 3 beauty products with me, mascara would definitely be one of them. I absolutely love how this magical little wand completes an entire look. You just can not create an eye look and leave the lashes bare. That's like making pizza with no sauce- obvi we know where my head it at. [I know you can make sauceless pizza but that is besides the point here!]

Here are a few of my tricks to get super long, voluminous lashes.

1. Condition them with coconut oil.
Coconut oil is one beauty, yes beauty product that should be in everyones collection. Coconut oil has dozens of uses and benefits to the skin and hair. When I run out of makeup remover and keep forgetting to by some more, coconut oil will always save the day. I like to take a finger dab of it and rub it on my eyelashes and brow at the end of my night routine. I know it is said to be cautious about putting oils on your lids because it will seep into your eyes overnight, but honestly I have never had a problem doing this. The result is phenomenal. My eyelashes grow in thicker, fuller and I have fewer lash hairs fallout. Favorite: Trader Joe's Organic Coconut Oil

2. Primer!
I personally am not crazy on face primers. I don't have oily skin and I feel my makeup does an amazing job at staying on as long as I need it to. I highly suggest coating your lashes with a primer before applying your mascara. This will help separate the lashes, which will keep them from clumping, and it will also make it easier to remove mascara later on. Every time I wear primer, my mascara seems to glide off much easier when I remove it. Primer will also prevent your mascara from smudging or running throughout the day. Favorites: Clinique Lash Building Primer and Estee Lauder Lash Primer Plus

3. Use TWO mascaras.
Unfortunately, there is no one mascara that does it all. As much as we would like to believe it, I am convinced that there just isn't . I personally apply 1-2 coats of a volumizing mascara first. Then I apply a lengthening mascara on top of that. Heck sometimes I go all out and apply a third type of mascara that has fibers in it. My favorite combination at the moment is Bobbi Browns Smokey Eye Mascara, Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara, and Estee Lauder Turbo Lash Mascara. The feathering mascara by Clinique is a fiber mascara that is kind of tricky to use but works amazing. The Turbo Lash is a vibrating mascara that separates and lengthens the lashes even more.

4. My last tip references the previous one. Use a fiber rich mascara
I am absolutely obsessed with this trend right now. I have seen many vloggers and Instagrammers doing this. The idea is that there are little fibers in the mascara that are brushed on to the ends of you lashes. They dry and you continue to layer the fibers so that they stack on top of each other, helping to create length. The trick I have learned since using this is to not start from the bottom of the lash. This will cause your lashes to clump together because all the fibers are sticking together at the bottom instead of building upwards at the top. Favorite: Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara
Tip: You will know if your mascara has fibers in it by quickly dabbing some on the back of your hand. Hold you hand eye level and if you see little hairy looking things standing up, congratulations! you have fibers.

Healthier, Shinier, Luxurious Hair

Current Skin Care Routine ft. Origins

Over the last month I seemed to have misplaced
a lot of my Clinique skin care products.
I left my face wash at a hotel.
My exfoliator at my mothers house.
and I ran out of lotion.

Since I am on a strict beauty budget right now
(only so that I can pay for my fitness-related things)
I can't replace all of these products just yet.

Instead, I have decided to dig through my beauty box
and use up some of my other skin care products
that I have been neglecting.

From my selection I have settled on completely using Origins
until I run out and am forced to buy something new.
[sort of like the Project Pan concept]

It has been about two weeks since I began this new routine
and I am very pleased with the results.
Although some of these products are not my favorite
they seem to be getting the job done.

Latest Obsession: Cleansing Oils

Hey all!
I hope you guys are having a great summer so far. June was a slow month
for me- meaning I got sidetracked from my plans lol.
I will start July with something I have been OBSESSING over:
Cleansing Oils.

Now I know you may think at first "Cleansing oil? like oil to clean your face?
How in the world does an oil clean your face?
Wouldn't it just make it more oily?"

Well to my surprise, and now yours, no! It is absolutely the most awesome way to cleanse your skin that I have recently discovered for myself.

I purchased the Origins Clean Energy Cleansing Oil (Retails for $25) from the CCO
and it has forever changed my life.
