Hey all!
I hope you guys are having a great summer so far. June was a slow month
for me- meaning I got sidetracked from my plans lol.
I will start July with something I have been OBSESSING over:
Cleansing Oils.
Now I know you may think at first "Cleansing oil? like oil to clean your face?
How in the world does an oil clean your face?
Wouldn't it just make it more oily?"
Well to my surprise, and now yours, no! It is absolutely the most awesome way to cleanse your skin that I have recently discovered for myself.
I purchased the Origins Clean Energy Cleansing Oil (Retails for $25) from the CCO
and it has forever changed my life.
This one by Origins is made with Olive, Sunflower, Safflower, and Sesame oils. These oils help to literally melt the makeup off your face.
It also contains Kukui Nut and Macadamia to moisturize the skin. It contains Vitamin E which has amazing benefits for the skin and is scented with Grapefruit, Orange and Lemon.
This oil is magical and has forever changed my life.
The only fault I find with is is the packaging because it does not come with a pump.
If you have heavy hands, you could easily waste more than what you need so be careful!
I take about a nickel to quarter size on my fingers and massage it all over my dry face.
I massage my cheeks and t-zone then gently rub downward on my lashes
to get off eye makeup. You can seriously feel everything just melt away under your fingers.
But it gets better.
When you wash it off with warm water it turns into a milky lotion.
Yes it transforms from an oil to a lotion. HOW.COOL.
After I wash it off with warm water my face is left squeaky clean.
I don't even have to go back around my eye area with a pad to remove residue
because it is seriously all gone.
You have the option to follow with a cleanser or not- some nights I do, some I don't.
Being that this is the only Cleansing Oil I have tried so far, it is the only one I will recommend.
Bobbi Brown has a Soothing Cleansing Oil (Retails for $43) that comes with a pump
and also turns into a milky lotion when you wash it off.
Clinique has the Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (Retails for $28.50)
which is a solid oil rather than a liquid.
I have not tried either cleansers but I have heard great reviews on
both and plan to try them very soon!
I would definitely recommend trying a cleansing oil if you find yourself having a hard time getting all of you makeup off. Especially eye makeup and waterproof makeup.
I have always had the hardest time finding something that will get off
all 5 layers of mascara I put on.
I usually end up having to use 2 wipes or washing my eyes an extra time to get it all off.
This caused irritation and redness around my eyes.
The eye area is so thin and delicate I didn't want to advance any wrinkles!
So happy I found cleansing oils and I don't think I will ever turn back.
