I am a big fan of trying out new products especially face washes and hair products. Recently I picked up the Simple Skincare from Target. I purchased a starter kit that included the Facial Cleansing Wipes, the Moisturizing Facial Wash, and the Replenishing Rich Moisturizer. Everything in the kit was full sized and it was on sale! I was already running low on my Clean and Clear so I thought 'what better time than now!?'
The Simple line is a line that caters to all range of skin types from dry to oily, while specifically addressing the issue of sensitive skin. It is gentle on your skin and very effective. All of the products are made with no dyes, no perfumes, and no chemicals that are known to irritate the skin. This skincare line is hypoallergenic, non-comedegenic and pH balanced.
The first thing I tried were the Facial Cleansing Wipes. The only other wipes I have every tried to remove my make-up with were MAC Wipes and baby wipes. Over time MAC seemed to dry out the corner of my eyes a little bit. I was pretty excited to try this, especially since they are made for sensitive skin and your eye area is the most delicate area on your face.I will say that I am obsessed with these wipes. They remove everything. 5 coats of mascara and thick eyebrows, wiped away in minutes. They really do have no smell and leave your face feeling refreshed. Since they are cleansing wipes you do not have to wash your face afterwards; but I recommend you do if you need the extra care.
Next I obviously had to put the Moisturizing Facial Wash and Replenishing Rich Moisturizer to the test. The wash is a smooth and silky gel-creme consistency. It lathers/foams nicely on your face and did not irritate mine at all. There is no tingly sensation or weird smell to it. After rinsing your face will feel really clean and hydrated.
The moisturizer is light weight and not thick or creamy. It glides onto your face and really seeps into your skin to create a moisture barrier. Again there was no smell and it felt great on my skin.
I have really fallen in love with this product from what it does for your skin to the packaging. I would highly recommend this line for anyone with sensitive skin and those of you looking to start a skin care regimen. These are perfect for pre-teens and teens that want to learn more on how to care for there skin.
I would not recommend this line if you are specifically trying to reduce or get rid of acne. Although it may help clean dirt and remove oils from the skin, its purpose is not to treat acne.
